The Warranty Department at Premier Homes never has a dull moment.  Their job starts before someone even buys one of our homes.  Once a new home is completed they go through as a team and check out each and every home and take care of small repairs.

Once the home is under contract they set up a time to meet with the new homeowners and do a walk through with them, the superintendent and our warranty liaison, Kari Rumfield.  This is an opportunity for the homeowners to talk to the superintendent about any questions they may have about the home, including how our spray foam insulation works and where their shut off valve for water is located.  They also get to ‘blue tape’ the home to have a final paint touch up done.

Once the home is purchased we continue to provide service to our homeowners.  If the homeowner sends in a warranty request it is received by our warranty department and answered within 48-72 hours by Kelli or Kari.   Once we receive the request we put it on our warranty work order board and give it to our Warranty Manager, Galen Killion, who then schedules a time for the following week to come out and make the repair.  If it is an emergency it is taken care of right away.  Galen visits Godley on Mondays, Granbury on Tuesdays and on Wednesdays he heads to Weatherford, Ft. Worth & Aledo.

There will be times Galen cannot fix the issue himself and if that is the case he will leave a work order form with the homeowner and it will tell them who he has contacted to come out and fix the issue.  As you can imagine we have hundreds of homes at any given time that are under warranty but rest assured the homeowner issues will be resolved.

Here is Premier Homes Warranty and what it covers:

30 Days Landscaping/1 Year Irrigation System Warranty – This covers shrubs and grass for 30 days and the sprinkler system for 1 year.

1 Year Craftmanship Warranty – This covers any defects in the materials and craftmanship by Premier Homes that may occur within one year.  This does NOT cover normal wear & tear on a home that comes with living there.

2 Year Mechanical Warranty – This covers any defects in materials or workmanship  for electrical work, plumbing or HVAC issues, that may occur within 2 years after purchasing the home.  This does NOT cover any appliances, including hot water heaters and HVAC Units as those are covered under the manufacturer’s warranty from their respective companies.

10 Year Structural Warranty – This covers any defects in the foundation or framing that may occur within 10 years of the purchase of the home.  This does NOT include driveway cracks that occur due to wear & tear and weather.
